I noticed I said 14 pills and then 21 pills. I meant just 14 pills. I was calculating 2 weeks of prescription in my head and that's where the different number from 14 came from
I've been wanting to write a review for this doctor, only because she is the worst doctor I have ever been to. Her waiting room looks like I'm at a bad clinic and doesn't even look as appealing as Planned Parenthood.
Anyway, not only do I not like the environment, she has really bad bedside manners. I am currently taking OxyContin and Roxicet due to pain since I had cancer on my kidney and had to get it removed. My surgeon is friends with Jaclyn and recommended me to her. I respect my surgeon very much so I took his advice because I was looking for a female doctor. I told her I was experiencing pain and she basically just judged me, only because of the medication I was on. She told me that the medication I was on was highly addictive, and of course, I knew that. The surgeon didn't mind putting me on it, but she did. She probably thought I was some kind of drug addict, even though I have never touched drugs my life except what is prescribed to me. She only filled my prescription twice. She told me that I needed to see a pain specialist which I agreed and thought it was a good idea to go see one. I also had to get a pap smear done but I couldn't get it done because I was on my period. She probably thought I was using her to get drugs because I was a new patient. She told me that she would give me only two weeks of medication and that's it and that it should buy me some time to go see the pain specialist. I agreed and understood.
I went to the pharmacy and went to go get a refill on my pain killers and they told me that it was an odd prescription because not a lot of patients get written only a weeks of pain medication. I told them my doctor (Jaclyn Do) meant to write me two weeks. They said I should go back and ask her, which I did.
I asked the people at the front desk if I may talk to Jaclyn Do about the prescription she wrote me, and they said they would go get her. Soon after, I talked to Jaclyn and asked her if she meant to give me two weeks worth of prescription. She answered, "yes" I said because it's only one week's worth. She grabbed my file and then raised her voice and said, "NO, I gave you two weeks worth of prescription." (She prescribed me only 14 pills) The prescription said to take my medicine twice a day. I tried explaining to her that 21 pills is only one weeks worth of prescription. She basically gave me a very nasty attitude and said "It doesn't matter, I told you that's all I was going to give you, until you seen a specialist." I asked her, "Even if you said you were going to give me two weeks worth of prescription?" and she angrily said "YES." She basically shot me down and shut me up. I walked out of her office and grabbed my prescription bag to show her that it says that my medication will only last me a week. I asked the front desk again if I could talk to her once more, and they told me that "JACLYN DO does not want to discuss this with you anymore". SHE WOULD NOT COME OUT TO EVEN TALK TO HER PATIENT! I was bewildered. I NEVER IN MY LIFE OF DOCTOR VISITS HAVE HAD SUCH A HORRIBLE DOCTOR IN MY LIFE. Doctors are supposed to listen to the patients and diagnose them correctly. Not only that, what doctor prances around in white high heeled boots with her white MD coat? Vain much...?
Just because OxyContin has a reputation of being abused and misused from other people, why do we patients who need it have to suffer? And yet, have a crappy doctor who also judges you and does not even care to know your full situation or even care to understand your situation. Yes I'm young, and starting OxyContin is dangerous but they prescribed it to me at the hospital. I got a kidney removed, for goodness sakes.
Concluding, SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HER PATIENTS! Yes, my medication is very highly addictive but she wouldn't even ween me off my medicine. JUST NOT TAKING MY MEDICINE COULD BE DANGEROUS. People who just stopped cold turkey could have seizures. My pain specialist now is still prescribing it to me and understands that I don't abuse it and actually use it for pain. I told all my friends about Jaclyn and they told me that this has to be the WORST DOCTOR ever. NO DOCTOR TREATS PATIENTS LIKE THAT and won't come out to face them. BAD BAD BEDSIDE MANNERS. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SKIP THIS ONE, there are many doctors to choose from who are hospitable, and their office doesn't look like a jail cell. I would give her negative stars, but it won't allow me and said I had to at least give her one "star"
